To maintain the condition of the flats, you are not allowed to make changes to the technical installation and structural layout of your flat.

Customise room
Want to customise your room to your own taste? You can, if you follow some rules:

Painting / drilling / nailing
It is not allowed to paint the doors, window frames, ceilings, mouldings, curtain boards and skirting boards. The walls are primed. You may paint these with your own colour. Tape the skirting boards with painter's tape.

To prevent damage to the walls and the pipes located therein, drilling or nailing in them is prohibited. Picture frames are provided for hanging wall decorations.

Flooring
There is no carpet in the apartment as standard. You will lay this yourself. The available thickness for this is 10 mm. Lay an underlay to prevent noise pollution. Remember that you have to remove this floor covering when you leave. You can also transfer it to the next resident. The 3 shared rooms do have carpet.

Curtains
There are curtain rails in every flat. You must not remove these, nor can you screw or drill into the window frames. There is a shower curtain rail in the bathroom. You buy a shower curtain yourself.

To preserve the walls in the showers, it is important to clean them regularly. Also consider the shower drains, the grate is easy to take out and the bucket easy to clean.

Lighting fixtures
The bathroom has a light fitting on the ceiling and above the mirror. In the living room/bedroom, you can connect (a) lamp(s) to the light fitting.

Refrigerator and hob
If you live independently, these are in your own room. If you live non-self-contained, then you share these facilities with 2 other housemates.

There is no dishwasher/washing machine connection in your room.

Technical installations
Always report faults in the technical installations (power supply, heating, water supply, etc.) immediately to your manager. Do not tinker with the installations yourself.
