Rent benefit
Most town houses are eligible for rent benefit*. The right to rent benefit depends on a number of conditions. For example, the amount of your calculated rent, your income and your assets determine whether you are entitled to rent benefit.

What amounts do you need to apply for rent benefit?

• Basic rent (deduct any temporary discount from the basic rent)

Service charges:

• Energy fee for common areas (electricity general)
• Cleaning fee
• Caretaker fee

When applying for rent benefit, you can fill out a maximum of € 12,- for each service fee. For example, if your cleaning fee is € 13,58, you can only claim a maximum of € 12,- when applying for benefit. Other service fees than the three mentioned above are not eligble for rent benefit.
