Residual waste
Do you live independently (with your own facilities)? Then you may deposit any bag in the residual waste container at your complex. You open it with a special waste card. You pay a fixed amount per month for using the underground containers. This is included in the service costs.

Do you live in an apartment with your own facilities? Then you use a waste card and you pay every time you use the container.

Plastic waste
Plastic waste should be taken to the street on the day it is collected by Dar. Plastic waste may only be disposed of in a special orange bag. You can buy these bags at a Nijmegen supermarket.

Waste paper
Do you have scrap paper? You put this in the street yourself on the right collection day.

Waste calendar Dar
The waste calendar tells you when the Dar will collect your waste.

No waste pass present?
You can apply for these yourself at the Dar.

Organic waste
Want to separate Vegetable, Fruit and Garden Waste (VGF)? You can. Request a green bucket from SSH& via info@sshn.nl. Opposite your complex are municipal containers in which you can empty the bucket.

Where do I put my waste?
The picture below (yellow dot) shows where you can put your plastic waste bags, waste paper and VGF waste.

Always get rid of your bulky waste!
Outside at your complex (down the ramp) you will find a central locked collection point for all bulky waste. Bulky waste is waste that does not fit in the bin, such as old sofas and fridges, or electrical appliances, for example. You open this area with your room key. This way, you can dispose of your bulky waste 24/7 and we prevent bulky waste from being placed in corridors, entrances or near the containers. Safety first! The area itself indicates where you can deposit bulky waste and where you can put electrical appliances and metals. Make sure you separate your bulky waste properly.

Is your laminate flooring going in the junkyard?
Then make sure you bundle all the boards well. This makes it a lot easier for us to dispose of!
