Residual waste
You can deposit residual waste in any bag in one of the residual waste containers that you open with your room key.

Plastic
Dispose of plastic waste in the plastic waste container. This is located near the entrance to the complex behind a fence. Plastic waste must be disposed of in a special orange bag. You can buy these bags at a Nijmegen supermarket.

Waste paper
Waste paper is collected monthly. Want to know when? Then download the Dar app or check the waste calendar. You take the waste paper to the street yourself.

Waste calendar
The Dar's waste calendar tells you on which day what will be collected.

Organic waste
Want to separate Vegetable, Fruit and Garden Waste (VGF)? You can. Then apply for a city bin yourself at the Dar. Check the waste calendar to see when VGF waste is collected.

Do not place waste next to the containers
The municipality regularly checks for rubbish next to the containers. Can they trace the offender? If so, a fine will follow. So do not place waste next to the container if it is full, but find another container.

Always get rid of your bulky waste!
At the entrance to the complex, you will find a central locked collection point for all bulky waste. Bulky waste is waste that does not fit in the bin, such as old sofas and fridges, or electrical appliances, for example. You open this area with your room key. This way, you can dispose of your bulky waste 24/7 and we prevent bulky waste from being placed in corridors, entrances or near the containers. Safety first! The area itself indicates where you can deposit bulky waste and electrical appliances and metals. Make sure you separate your bulky waste properly.
