To maintain the technical condition of the rooms, you are not permitted to change any of the technical systems or architectural layout of your room.

Changing your room
Do you want to customise your room to suit your own taste? This is allowed, but you must follow a few rules:
 
Painting / Drill / Hammer

To prevent walls, ceilings and ducts from being damaged, it is not allowed to drill and / or hammer into the ceilings and walls. Slats have been mounted to the wall along the ceiling. You can use these to hang wall decorations, paintings, posters, etc. You can hammer into these slats. Please do not stick posters/stickers to the wall with adhesive tape or poster tack/ sticky pads.

SSH& ensures that the general areas, window frames, doors and windows are painted in time. You must ensure that the walls of your room remain in good condition. The cost of the paint or wallpaper and other materials needed for this can be claimed up to a maximum of € 75, - at SSH&. You do however need to get permission from your caretaker beforehand. You can hand in your receipt to your caretaker. Note: this amount is only provided by SSH& once every 5 years.

Flooring
There is no carpet in the room. You are permitted to put a flooring in the room. If you do this, keep in mind that you will need to remove this flooring when you leave. There should not be any glue or foam residue stuck to the floor.

Curtains
It's allowed to place curtain rails in the room yourself.
