Do you rent an independent room? Then you may be eligible for rent allowance. Entitlement to rent allowance depends on a number of conditions. For example, the amount of your calculation rent, your income and your assets determine whether you are entitled to rent allowance.
What amounts do you need to apply for rent allowance?
- Bare rent (deduct any temporary discount from the bare rent)
Service charges:
- Energy costs for common areas (general electricity)
- Cleaning costs
- Cost of caretaker (complex manager)
There is a maximum of €12 per service charge item. For example your cleaning costs are €13.58, in which case you may report a maximum of €12. Other costs do not apply.
