To maintain the technical condition of the rooms, you are not allowed to make any changes to the technical installation and architectural layout of your room.

Customise room
Want to customise your room to your own taste? You can, if you follow some rules. Flats 160A and 186A and the entire 3rd floor are subject to a separate guide. You find it at the bottom of this page.

Painting / drilling / nailing
It is not allowed to paint the walls, doors, window frames or ceilings.

To hang wall decorations and lamps, you may drill into the walls, but only in consultation with your manager. This is because there are pipes in the walls. Planning to drill? Then contact us first.

To preserve the walls in showers, it is important to clean them regularly.

Flooring
Your room has carpeting. If you lay other floor covering over it, be aware that you will have to remove it when you leave the living space. Make sure there is no glue residue and/or adhered foam residue left on the SSH& floor covering.

Curtains
There are no curtains hanging in your room, but there are curtain rails. When hanging curtains, note that you should not screw or drill into the window frames.

160A and 186A and third floor

Painting / varnishing / painting
You may paint the walls/ceilings in your room in any colour you like. It is important to use good latex paint. When you leave, the walls/ceilings of your room should be delivered completely white if the new occupant does not accept the walls you have painted. The window frames and doors should not be painted.

Picture frames
There are many pipes in the walls and ceilings. To prevent damage, you should not drill or nail into these. Also do not nail or drill into windows, window frames and panelling.

Along the ceiling on the walls slats are installed. You can use these to hang wall decorations, paintings, posters, etc. You may nail in these.

Flooring
There is no carpet in the room. You may add a floor covering yourself. To avoid noise pollution, put a soundproof underlay under the floor covering.

Remember that this flooring must be removed again upon departure if the new occupant does not want it. No glue residue and/or adhered foam residue should be left on the floor. Never nail or drill into the floor, as there are (water) pipes in the concrete!

Curtain rails
All rooms have one curtain rail as standard. This must not be removed. No screwing or drilling is allowed in the window frames.

Lighting fixtures
You can connect the light fittings to the terminal block at the ends of the electrical wires and attach them to the central box. Drilling into the ceiling to fix light fittings is not allowed.

In the shower room, a light fitting hangs above the sink and centrally in the room, as well as under the overhead cabinets and in the kitchen's extractor hood. These should not be dismantled. You must replace the light sources of these yourself if they are broken.

Dishwasher connection
There is a possibility of installing a dishwasher in the kitchen.

Technical installations
Faults in the technical installations (power supply, heating, water supply, etc.) should be reported to the caretaker. Under no circumstances should you work on the installations yourself.
