To maintain the technical condition of the rooms, you are not allowed to make any changes to the technical installation and architectural layout of your room.

Customise room
Want to customise your room to your own taste? You can, if you follow some  rules:

Painting / drilling / nailing

Painting
You may paint the walls and ceilings in your room. When you leave the room, the walls should be plain white again, unless the new occupant also likes your chosen colour. You may not paint the window frames.

Drilling and nailing
To prevent damage to the walls and the pipes located therein, drilling/nailing in them is prohibited. For hanging wall decorations and lamps, picture frames have been installed. These are wooden slats against the wall.

Flooring
There are no carpets in the room as standard. If you lay floor covering, remember to remove it again when you leave the room. No glue residue and/or adhered foam residue should be left on the floor. Never nail or drill into the concrete floor, because the floor contains (water) pipes! Avoid noise pollution. Lay a sound-absorbing underlay under your hard flooring.

Curtains
Some rooms on the ground and 1st floor have blinds in front of the windows. You can use these or remove them. You can hang curtain rails in the wooden frame of the windows. In the rooms on the 2nd floor, most skylights have a roller blind (blackout). You can use these. If the roller blind is not working properly or no longer works, you can replace it yourself if you wish.
