Residual waste
The containers for residual waste are in front of the entrance to your complex. You can deposit residual waste in any bag in the underground residual waste containers that you open with your room key. You do not need to use specific Dar rubbish bags. Do not park your car in front of the containers, as the Dar will not be able to empty them.

Plastic waste
You can dispose of plastic waste in one of the wheelie bins located outside in the waste container area (behind a fence). Plastic waste must be disposed of in a special orange bag. You can buy these orange bags at a Nijmegen supermarket. The waste container area is accessible with your room key. Make sure that the door is locked.

Other waste
At the corner of Dennestraat/Boeckstaetedreef, there are waste containers that allow collection of separated waste (paper, glass and clothing).

Do not place waste next to the containers
The municipality regularly checks for rubbish next to the containers. Can they trace the offender? Then a fine will follow. So do not place waste next to the container if it is full, but find another one.

Waste calendar

The Dar's waste calendar tells you on which day what will be collected.

GFT waste
Would you like to separate Vegetable, Fruit and Garden Waste (VGF)? There are GFT containers on the site where you can dispose of your organic waste.

Always get rid of your bulky waste!
Outside your complex (near the caretaker's office) you will find an enclosed collection area for all bulky waste. You share this area with the residents of the Welgelegen complex.

Bulky waste is waste that does not fit in the bin, such as old sofas and fridges, or electrical appliances, for example. You open this area with your room key. This way, you can dispose of your bulky waste 24/7 and we prevent bulky waste from being placed in corridors, entrances or near the containers. Safety first!

The collection point indicates where you can put bulky waste and where you can put electrical appliances and metals. Make sure you separate your bulky waste properly.

Is your laminate flooring going in the junkyard?
In that case, make sure you bundle all the boards equally well. This makes it a lot easier for us to dispose of!
