To maintain the technical condition of the flats, you are not allowed to make changes to the technical installation and structural layout of your flat.
Customise room
Want to customise your room to your own taste? You can, if you follow some rules:
Painting / drilling / nailing
You can paint the walls in your room, between skirting board and ceiling, in any colour you like. It is important to use good latex paint (not smudge-proof). Make sure not to damage the glass fleece wallpaper. When you leave, you should paint the walls/ceilings of your room white if the new occupant does not accept your coloured walls. You may not paint the window frames, skirting boards, doors and ceiling.
There are many pipes in the walls, ceilings and floors. To prevent damage, you should not drill or nail into these. Also do not nail or drill into windows, window frames and panelling.
Picture frames
Along the ceiling on the walls, we have installed slats. You can use these to hang wall decorations, paintings, posters, etc. You may nail in these.
Flooring
Your room has carpeted floors as standard. If you lay floor covering, remember that when you leave, this floor covering must be removed again. No glue residue and/or adhered foam residue should be left on the floor. To prevent noise pollution, lay a sound-absorbing underlay under your floor covering.
Curtain rails
All rooms have curtain rails. You must not remove these. You may not screw or drill into the window frames.
Technical installations
Always report faults in the technical installations (power supply, heating, water supply, etc.) immediately to your caretaker. Do not tinker with the installations yourself.
