If you have general waste, you can dispose of it in the underground waste containers. You use your own waste disposal card for this. You may use a normal grey garbage bag for the disposal of general waste. You pay each time you deposit waste in the container. You will receive a final bill for this once a year.

Please refrain from parking your car in front of the containers. It makes it difficult for them to be emptied.

Organic waste
Would you like to separate your organic waste? That's possible. There is an organic waste container at your complex, in which you can empty your pail. You open the container with your house key. You can ask for a green pail from SSH& via info@sshn.nl.

Plastic waste
The orange plastic garbage bags intended for plastic can be deposited in the container in the waste collection point reached through the bicycle storage. Plastic waste must be disposed of in the special orange Dar bags. These garbage bags can be purchased at most supermarkets in Nijmegen.

Wastepaper
You must put your wastepaper in the assigned place. Check Dar's waste calendar to see what day it is collected.

Glass
Glass can be deposited in the glass container at the nearest supermarket or at the recycling centre.

Waste calendar
Dar’s waste calendar shows on what days each type of waste is collected.

Do not dump waste next to the containers
The municipality regularly checks whether waste is dumped next to containers. If they can trace the culprit, a fine will be sent out. Do not place waste next to the container if it is full, rather look for another one.

Always possible to dispose of your bulky waste!
You can dispose of your bulky waste in the centrally locked collection point reached through the bicycle storage. Bulky waste is waste that does not fit in the waste container, such as old sofas and fridges, or electrical appliances. You can open this room with your room key. You can dispose of your bulky waste 24/7. This prevents bulky waste from being deposited in corridors, entrances or near the containers. Safety first!

The site clearly indicates where you can place bulky waste and where you can place electrical appliances and metals. So please make sure you separate your bulky waste properly.

Are you getting rid of your laminate flooring?
If so, please make sure you bundle up all the pieces. This makes it a lot easier for us to dispose of them. Thanks!
