In front of the building are several underground and lockable containers that allow collection of separated waste.

Residual waste
To dispose of residual waste, you use your waste card. This should be found in your kitchen. You pay the residual waste levy through your rent, but SSH& pays each time you open the waste container. So please only throw away full bags.

Plastic waste
You can dispose of plastic waste in front of your building section in a concrete container. You do not need a key for this. Plastic waste must be disposed of in a special orange bag. You can buy these bags at a Nijmegen supermarket.

You can also deposit paper and glass in containers at your complex.

Organic waste
Want to separate Vegetable, Fruit and Garden Waste (VGF)? You can. Your complex has a VGF container that you open with your house key.

Do you only have an electronic key? In the cupboard by the front door  you find a key that can be used for the  container outside.

Waste calendar
The Dar's waste calendar tells you on which day what will be collected.

Do not place waste next to the containers
The municipality regularly checks for rubbish next to the containers. Can they trace the offender? Then a fine will follow. So do not place waste next to the container if it is full, but find another one.

Always get rid of your bulky waste!
At the back of the Guesthouse (block 5) you will find a central locked collection point (the door next to the old caretaker's office, near the barrier) for all bulky waste. You put the bulky waste inside yourself.

Bulky waste is waste that does not fit in the bin, such as old sofas and fridges, or electrical appliances, for example. You open this area with your room key. This way, you can dispose of your bulky waste 24/7 and we prevent bulky waste from being placed in corridors, entrances or near the containers. Safety first! The area itself indicates where you can deposit bulky waste and where you can put electrical appliances and metals. Make sure you separate your bulky waste properly.

Is your laminate flooring going in the junkyard?
If so, make sure you bundle all the boards properly. This makes it a lot easier for us to dispose of!
