At your complex, there are several containers for collecting separated waste in two different places.

You can deposit residual waste in any bag in the residual waste container. Above-ground containers are also available for plastic waste. Plastic waste must be disposed of in a special orange bag. You can buy these bags at a Nijmegen supermarket. There are also above-ground waste containers for waste paper. You can open the containers at your complex with your room key.

Waste calendar
The Dar's waste calendar tells you on which day what will be collected.

GFT waste
Want to separate Vegetable, Fruit and Garden Waste (VGF)? You can. Then apply for a city bin yourself at the Dar.

Do not place waste next to the containers
The municipality regularly checks whether there is rubbish next to containers. Can they trace the perpetrator? If so, a fine will follow. So do not place any waste next to the container if it is full, but look for another one.

It is also important not to put anything in front of the containers, otherwise the rubbish collection service cannot reach them properly.

Always get rid of your bulky waste!
Outside near the high-rise buildings of Galgenveld, you will find a central enclosed collection point for all bulky waste. Bulky waste is waste that does not fit in the bin, such as old sofas and fridges, or electrical appliances, for example. You open this area with your room key. This way, you can dispose of your bulky waste 24/7 and we prevent bulky waste from being placed in corridors, entrances or near the containers. Safety first!

The site itself indicates where you can put bulky waste and where you can put electrical appliances and metals. So make sure you separate your bulky waste properly?

Is your laminate flooring going in the junkyard?
If so, make sure you bundle all the boards equally well. This makes it a lot easier for us to dispose of!
